This is Part 0 — the beginning of an ongoing series on how Soft Goods started.

Our first production space after leaving my parents' basement — 700 sq ft of potential in a cold, damp Detroit warehouse.
PART 0: I FOUND AN OLD MEMORY CARD
This past week I ordered myself a new cinematic camera on a recommendation from my buddy Mike (a Sony FX30, for you camera nerds). As I was digging out my old gear, I found a memory card.
It used to live in my very first DSLR — the one I vlogged with when I was just starting the Soft Goods factory back in 2018.
I sat down and watched through it. True gems. Lots of late nights dreaming about the future over cheap tacos, really weird projects, and overall amazing memories with old friends and family, all documented on this little plastic card.
And honestly? I think it's a story worth telling.
So once a month, I'm going back in. Archival footage, real memories, the full unfiltered story of how we got here — the highs, the lows, and everything in between. The photo above is that first space: 700 sq feet of potential in a cold, damp Detroit warehouse.
Thanks for reading.
