Production Team Member - Sewing
We're looking for a team player that is willing to work hard and learn. We have a small team that is very family oriented and we are looking to grow it with people that share our values.
Preferred Qualifications
-Previous production sewing experience a strong plus, but not required (serger/straightstitch/coverstitch). We train everyone how to make garments the Soft Goods way.
-Strong communication skills
-Experience working with knitwear a plus, but not required
-Positive attitude
-Team player
-Critical thinking skills a strong plus
Roles & Responsibilities
-Operate industrial serger/straightstitch/coverstitch machines to mass produce clothing and other soft goods and deliver to daily production schedule
-Work as part of production team to meet project quotas
-Following SOP and manufacturing processes to produce goods
-Accurately producing garments (masks, t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.)
-Work for up to 40 hours/week sewing garments at production speed
Required:
-Can be seated for 8 hours
-Can use an industrial sewing machine with 2 hands
-Is able to commute to/from our Detroit factory up to 5 days a week
-Can lift up to 50 lb. Boxes
Commitment
-40 Hours per week
-Position located in Detroit, MI
-This posting is for both full-time or part-time, paid positions.
-Pay for this position range from $13-$18/hr, depending on background and skillset
