PREMIUM & ETHICAL GOODS
This is what we pride ourselves on. At its core, our mission is to deliver the highest quality product while providing steady and gainful employment for our community.
The garment industry can be messy. Globalization has led to worker exploitation, high levels of pollution, and a culture of fast fashion that exaggerates both of these issues.
We believe it doesn't have to be this way. We believe that we can reinvent the garment industry in America to provide ethical employment, while reducingthe negative environmental impact.
We're not perfect, but here are the steps we're taking to be better:
SAFE WORK CONDITIONSOur top priority is the safety and wellbeing of our team. We're located in a recently renovated building in New Center, Detroit and enjoy a comfortable and inclusive environment. |
FAIR WAGESOur team works a 40 hour week with summer Fridays, receiving an average wage 20% higher than the industry average for Apparel Accessories and Apparel Manufacturing in the United States. (Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics) |
LOCAL SUPPLY CHAINA local supply chain contributes to our goal to reduce our environmental footprint as much as possible. our goods require less fuel and emissions to make it from origin to destination. |
100% COTTONAll of our blank goods are made with 100% cotton fabric, grown in America. We even use 100% cotton thread, drawstrings, and neck taping. The less polyester put into the world, the better! |
GARMENT DYEIn an effort to reduce excess inventory, all of our garments are made with the same color fabric and thread and sewn in "PFD" or Prepared for Dye. Once an order is placed, we garment dye our goods on-demand so we only make what we sell. This also allows for custom Pantone color matching, even with an extremely small MOQ. |
MADE TO LASTSlow Fashion. We make garments that will last a lifetime. Your grandkids will be fighting over your Soft Goods made sweatshirt. |
